Do you have a knife or pair of scissors around that’s in need of a new sheath?

Bring along an knife or pair of scissors with a blade shorter than 11cm in length. It can be a camp knife, carving knife, pocket knife, etc. If you don’t have one you are still welcome to come to the workshop and learn how to make the sheath on one of our knives and then you can repeat the process at home.

During this class we will have the opportunity to learn & make a bark sheath with minimal materials and tools. Materials for one sheath are included in the cost of the class. If additional materials remain students may be able to make a couple sheaths with different designs.

If we have remaining time we will play with making some other small projects in birch bark.

Raleigh speaks English and a little bit of Swedish.

If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you speak or understand broken English. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.

IMPORTANT- Festival Tickets are booked separately and in addition to workshops. Please be sure you have booked your ticket before booking workshops!
