Shrink Pots (krympkruka) are nice projects for beginners as well as for more experienced carvers. With just a handful of tools you’ll learn how to make useful containers for your home or a perfect gift for your loved ones. These little storage boxes can be designed in a variety of ways, with a lot of room for creativity.

During a 1/2 day shrink pot carving class we will mainly focus on hollowing and finishing the base of the pot. If there’s time you’ll have the possibility to make more than one shrink pot or explore making a lid as well.

Sizing and shaping the base

Preparing a lid (if there is time)

Given the time we will talk about decoration, alternative forms, tool selections, etc.

Course Schedule:

Sunday Morning at 9:30 AM

No prior experience needed.

Minimum age: 14 years old

Material costs: No Material Cost

Please bring your own straight carving knife and hook (spoon) knife if you have one. All other tools and materials will be provided.

Oliver speaks English, German and a little bit of Swedish.

If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you speak or understand broken English. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.

IMPORTANT- Festival Tickets are booked separately and in addition to workshops. Please be sure you have booked your ticket before booking workshops!
